Japanese knotweed is very common in all parts of London. This is not surprising as the plant was introduced into this country through a privately owned display garden in South-west London. The Knotweed Company is currently treating a site infestation of 5 hectares (50,000 m2) within a few miles of this site and many other smaller sites in the same area.

The company and staff have many connections with London, our founder Brian Taylor, worked for Waltham Forest Borough Council at one time and later managed large grounds maintenance contracts for the London Boroughs of Barnet and Sutton. More recently, the company has been working on Japanese knotweed eradication contracts for the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and numerous private individuals and companies (including social housing and privately run housing associations) throughout the Greater London area.
