Japanese knotweed can frequently be found in many parts of Tyne and Wear. We have discovered over the years that there are many local hot spots for Japanese knotweed within this area. These include (but are not limited to) Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside and Gateshead. However, Japanese knotweed can be found growing in almost any part of the area.
